Designing Space with Reverb (Deep Dive)

When a novice thinks of reverb, likely they are referring only to one kind of reverb. It probably has a longer decay time, its very wide, and gives you the sensation of being far away from the source or at least that the sound source is in a large room. This is called Hall reverb and is perhaps the most immediately recognizable of all the reverb types. But in the real world, there are very short and abrupt sound reflections usually referred to as ambience, or short tail kinds of sound reflections like what you might hear in a living room. In order to create incredible mixes we need to learn to create all kinds of spaces. In this video we're going to learn all the things in this deep dive of Ableton Reverb.
